Fleming lifts third title in a row

Colin Fleming has won his fourth Futures title in three weeks. This week in Sunderland $10,000 he progressed to the final without dropping a set and there he beat  Britain's no. 4, Richard Bloomfield, in 2 straight sets to win the event. Colin who is ranked 864 in the world won the match 7-6(6) 6-4.

Fleming also secured his third doubles title in a row, with partner Ken Skupski, after wins at Glasgow, Campdon Hill and now Sunderland. In all three finals Fleming and Skupski have beaten Cerovic and Danilovic without dropping a set. Their third meeting in Sunderland saw the British pair win the match 6-2 6-1.

Next week, Fleming is playing the Challenger event at Jersey.

Elsewhere, Jonny O'Mara progressed to the quarter-finals of the singles and the semi-finals of the doubles at the Tennis Europe Junior Trophy in Leuggern, Switzerland.

East of Scotland Ladies Fly Flag for Scotland

The East of Scotland Ladies 40's squad has qualified for the final of the prestigious LTA National Inter-County event to be played next month. They will meet Devon in the final, and are the only Scottish team to make it through in any of the nine age groups competing. Click  "news" for further information

 

Kids go free as Davis Cup returns to Scotland

Hundreds of children will have the opportunity to watch world class tennis for free when the Great Britain versus Ukraine Davis Cup by BNP Paribas tie is held in Braehead Arena, Renfrewshire from 6-8th March 2009. Click "news" tab for full story

 

Scottish Duo Bid for European Glory

Edinburgh University and the University of Stirling will be flying the flag for Scotland at next month's second European Collegiate Tennis Association Champions League Finals after successfully coming through the qualifying groups. Click "news" tab for full story

 

Colin Fleming Wins Doubles title at Glasgow International

Colin Fleming paired up with Ken Skupski to lift the doubles title at Scotoun. The British duo defeated no. 1 seeds Cerovic and Danilovic 6-4, 6-4 in an exciting final.

The Men's title was won by Dan Evans, after Marcus Willis retired in the second set. There was a shock upset in the  Ladies Singles, as Romanian qualifier beat the no. 1 seed Mayr, 2-6 7-5 7-6(1)

Gordon Reid Becomes Youngest British No. 1

After a tough Paralympic Games debut in Beijing, Helensburgh's Gordon Reid is beginning the four-year cycle to what he hopes will be a medal-winning performance in London in 2012 with a new item on his ever-expanding and impressive CV - that of Britain's youngest ever British Men's No 1 wheelchair tennis player. Tennis Scotland Celebrates Andy's Success

To celebrate Andy making it to the Final of the US Open, Tennis Scotland organised a party in Centre Court Bar, Edinburgh, across from Craiglockhart Tennis Centre.

More than 100 people packed into the bar to watch the game.
