At Prestwick FITNESS we believe that the best way to get yourself on the road to physical fitness is to start with a realistic, workable goal.

Whether you want to lose weight, gain muscle, or increase cardiovascular ability, we can help - combine tennis, gym workouts and exercise classes to create a fun and varied solution.

First in Scotland with the new Technogym EXCITE range of gym equipment (from the Wellness Company) with inbuilt personal TV screens on each machine to take the boredom out of exercising and key system with individual programmes tailor-made to suit.

25 cardio vascular and resistance stations all include the Techno one-to-one personal advice and support to help you all the way to achieving and maintaining your fitness goals. Our fitness suite also has the new Powerplate - dubbed the 'miracle' machine. The plate works by giving the body muscles a high speed workout, as the vibrations make them contract and relax up to 50 times a second.

We also run regular FITNESS CLASSES for all ages and standards. When you become a fitness member you will undergo a comprehensive 3 stage induction process.

 STAGE 1  STAGE 2  STAGE 3
Involves gathering member’s basic information, measuring blood pressure, height, weight, followed by a simple fitness test which involves a 12 minute walk on the treadmill. This initial one hour session is concluded with a simple 20 minute trial workout by which time you will have a good understanding of the equipment and how the Technogym system operates. A 30 minute trial workout using the machines not covered in your first visit. By this stage you will have a good understanding of all the equipment, how the key system works, and all the necessary settings such as seat heights will be saved into the Technogym Wellness system. Commences with a goal setting discussion followed by the instructor devising your training program specific to your goals whether it be general fitness, weight loss, muscle toning or working towards running a marathon.
